Why are we effective?

We build and staff our schools with an eye to the future. By training the communities to work in and with the schools, we make them self-sustaining. For the first year, we work on-site with the community to get the school going and stabilized. During the second year, we remove half of the volunteer staff from the school, and during the third year, we remove all of the volunteer staff except for a few key persons who provide ongoing guidance to the community on-site at the school. In order to guarantee the school's long term stability, we continue to offer collaborative support, both financially and managerially, on a long term basis.
